Spring was in the air at “a Wedding for all Seasons”, a bridal show held on Sunday at the Sheraton Hotel Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.  The event presented the public with complete resources for planning a wedding and featured a bridal fashion runway show.  Virginia Marti College (VMCAD) designer and fashion instructor Christine Lee presented luxury fabrics available from Virginia Marti Fabrics.  The company is a unique resource for bridal fabrics and donates all company profits to the “Mission to the Fatherless”, a non-profit organization dedicated to feeding orphans and street children in Kenya, Africa.
VMCAD invited international fashion designer Vanni Wang because of her continued support of Virginia Marti Fabrics  and for  the non-profit charitable mission of the company.  Ms. Wang’s company Lucio Vanni Couture displayed part of her collection designed from luxury fabrics available to the public through Virginia Marti Fabrics Store in Lakewood, Ohio.  Beauty, femininity and romance is reflected in the Lucio Vanni bridal collection.  Personalized dresses for weddings and special occasions feature exquisite artisan details like hand dyed silk butterflies and flowers.

White House Forum Boosts Cleveland

White House Winning The Future Forum Boosts
Cleveland’s Fashion Group International

The President and Cabinet members met at Cleveland State University on February 22 to hear directly from small business about ideas to expand the American economy and create jobs. The small group of Cleveland business leaders included entrepreneur, fashion designer and Cleveland FGI member Vanni Wang of Lucio Vanni LLC.

Ms. Wang was encouraged to see broad support by the President and his team for development of new technologies alongside traditional industries like clothing manufacturing. Wang said President Obama is committed to helping all businesses out-innovate, out-educate and out-build global competition and putting Americans back to work. Key cabinet members such as Commerce Secretary Gary Locke met with Wang and others to help Cleveland businesses develop foreign markets for American exports. Wang said American brands are highly respected internationally and her company Lucio Vanni produces high-fashion couture clothing and accessories for exclusive retailers both in the luxury domestic and export markets.
Fashion Group International Regional Director Marlene Kobzowicz said her organization is focused on supporting fashion design and manufacturing throughout the region. Many local fashion students and entrepreneurs have been inspired about the possibilities of revitalizing and bringing the craft of apparel manufacturing back to Cleveland.
President Obama and his Council of Economic Advisers are focused on “Winning the Future for America”. They came to Cleveland for knowledge about the needs of small business to develop effective programs for continued economic recovery, creating employment through innovations, industrial development and exports and with a team dedicated to increasing the global competitiveness of American business.
