Things to Consider for the Bride-to-Be

Congratulations on Your Engagement!

So you've found the perfect man. Now it's time to think back to when you were a child, imagining all the intricate details that go into making this wedding customized to YOU.

You've already purchased your wedding planning book and are doing the appropriate research for your big day. But are you forgetting something major? Don't worry, we at Lucio Vanni Bridal & Couture have you covered! From money savers, to avoiding a party foul, here is the shortlist of items you may want to consider when planning your special day...

A Second Bar / Multiple Bartenders

If you are having a large wedding reception, adding a second bar and/or having multiple bartenders is absolutely crucial! Who wants to wait in the lengthy bar lines and miss out on Old Aunt Ethel “cutting a rug” on the dance floor?

Your guests are also more likely to order multiple or double-strength drinks to avoid having to make a second trip to that long line. To save yourself (and your fellow guests) a headache from an overserved reception, we highly recommend you cut the line down by adding additional bartenders or second bar location.

Rain or Shine

Whether you have been dreaming of a romantic, spring wedding on the country club patio or an elegant, winter wonderland in a rustic log cabin, you must be prepared for any and all weather flukes. Although the autumnal and vernal equinoxes are highly popular times to be wed, these times of the year are also more likely to have sporadic weather changes. This does not bode well for the bride whom is dead-set on having an outdoor ceremony and/or reception if she is not prepared to pitch a tent in case of rain showers.

Spring and autumn brides must also be flexible with their choice of specialty cocktail. We highly suggest having two options in your mind: one for warm weather – can you say citrus white wine spritzer? – and one for cool weather –cranberry hot toddy anyone? The weather on the day of your wedding will tell you which is the best choice for you and your guests. We know they say that rain is good luck on your big day, but guests may not be happy about getting drenched. Rain or shine, wind or humidity… Be prepared for all weather.

Prosecco

Consider incorporating this new and trendy cocktail into your wedding. Many people spend a fortune on champagne toasts during their reception. However, using this Italian sparkling wine alternative will not only make your mouth happy, but also save your checkbook a hard hit. Plus, you'll be oh so stylish serving the new beverage of choice. It's a win, win!

The Dress

Whether you have pictured yourself in your mother's vintage dress or want to custom-design a new dress just for you, your wedding gown is one of the most important features of your special day. Not only must it highlight your personality, but it also must still fit with the venue and overall setting of the event. At Lucio Vanni Bridal & Couture, custom garments are our specialty. Each bride works directly with our in-house designer to create the perfect gown for her. Designer Vanni Wang creates intricate, fairytale gowns that are the epitome of luxury and elegance.

Clients have reported that they are not merely satisfied with the end-result, but beyond thrilled with the impeccable craftsmanship surrounding the final product. From hand-beaded Swarovski crystal and freshwater pearl bodices, to hand-appliquéd lace trains and veils, each gown is beautiful and one-of-a-kind. With gowns starting at just $2,000, together, you and the designer can custom-create the dress of your dreams.
